Meet Our Recruitment Chair

Hello, my name is Erin Elenz and I am overjoyed to serve the Gamma Chapter of Chi Omega as the Recruitment Chair! If you are going through Formal Recruitment during Fall 2019, as I did my Freshman year here at Florida State, I welcome you to this whirlwind of an experience that will turn into a lifetime of friendship, growth, and unity. Choosing to join our Panhellenic community with an open mind and heart will truly shape your college experience as a whole. Each one of the 17 Panhellenic chapters that populate Florida State’s campus bring their own unique values and leadership. Together, we are so incredibly lucky to join in a community much bigger than ourselves.

Recruitment can be overwhelming, as told by the women who have come before you, but with that you must remember that you are not alone in this process and that the women who are shaping these chapters today have been through this exact experience. I encourage you to go through this process as open as possible and focus on the women who will show you comfort, who are passionate about your growth and interests, and who will be there with you through the highs and lows. For me, Chi Omega was a chapter that made me feel as if I did not need to change to fit in but that I could come as I am through that red door and feel a sense of belonging to my home at 661 West Jefferson Street.

Our sisterhood at Chi Omega is not defined by words.

It is defined by the life we share, the milestones we reach, the memories we make and the love we feel for each of our sisters. I am truly a different person because of Chi Omega. I could not imagine how different my life would be if I had not made the choice to step out of my comfort zone and go through Recruitment. I cannot thank the women of Chi Omega enough for the person I am today.

Now it is your turn to find your people, and surround yourself with a group of women who encourage you to be the best version of yourself. Words cannot express how proud we are of the sisterhood we share at the Gamma Chapter. I wish you nothing but the best in your journey through Recruitment and hope that you find a place that gives you what Chi Omega has selflessly given me. We cannot wait to show each and every one of you the place we call home and the sisterhood that makes it feel that way during the 2019 Formal Recruitment!
